Bare Support

No matter how confidant any of us be about any aspect of our lives, there will always come the time when we need a little support from those around us. It’s just human nature. We who are bare practitioners (naturists/nudists) are no different from the general population in this regard. We may be able to freely remove our clothing without guilt or shame when in the presence of others, however, we’re unable to discard our humanity.

There are times in all of our lives when even the most assured of us feel vulnerable. The cause of our momentary lapse of self-confidence can be for any number of reasons or situations that arise unexpectedly – often without warning. These events that make us doubt ourselves vary from emotional to the physical and all the variations in between the two, plus others. None of us are immune.

Humans are social creatures, we thrive when we are surrounded by others similar to ourselves. This is true of all of us. There have been times in my own life when I have been depressed and not my usual optimistic persona and I have had friends, not necessarily gay and/or nudist, uplift my spirits and to check with me periodically to make certain that I was both fine and functioning.

Far too often in our modern society, we associate the need for others as a sign of helplessness and weakness. Nothing could be further from the reality and truth. By our very nature as humans, from time to time we do have a need for others, even if for nothing more than simple compassion and understanding. This is why we are a social species, after all.

We shouldn’t allow others to set an impossible standard for our own lives. Our masculinity isn’t measured by our level of humanity. The reverse is true, our manliness is indeed measured by our humanity. There is an old adage that no man is an island. This proverb has survived for countless generations because of the basic fact that it is the truth. We are all, in some way or another, dependent upon others.

Naked hugs!

  1. Today’s posting or commentary, is a subtle but thought provoking communication amongst all of us, clothed and unclothed because it gets down to the bottom line of how we all treat each other; that is causing so much strife, suffering, and turmoil in our society and the world where we all have to live. This posting, this sharing of thoughts, deserves a show of support, akin to taking a knee (in the nude of course). Imagine a football stadium, full of nude men, and if you will, women too; standing tall and proud on the field. WHAT A VISION!
