November: Vote!

Election Day: Tuesday, 5 November!

The explosion of violence in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January, 2021, remains with both Aaron (my spouse) and myself as though it happened only yesterday. The eruption of anarchy and lawlessness by cohorts and followers of a person sworn to protect and defend the constitution of this country has irreparably damaged and destroyed a reputation of freedom and democracy. Voting and accepting the will of the electorate is the decent and respectful method for change. Not acting like a pre-adolescent unable to have his way!

Ms. Kamala Harris!

Today, Aaron and I encourage and endorse Ms. Kamala Harris in her efforts to return democratic tradition, decency, equality, fairness, honesty and justice in our national government. A peaceful and respectful nature needs to be restored not only to our government but also to the entire nation.

If you have not already voted, we both invite you to join us in casting our votes for Kamala Harris as the next president! An orderly and progressive restoration of government is needed for us all!

Naked hugs!

  1. Yes. This.
Sadly, I feel like the reach of blogs with “niche” followers – aka: sub or counter culture minded folks – end up only being an echo chamber. If only there was a way to reach across what’s now a clear chasm in our country’s culture to the folks who don’t think like us.
In days and eras past, the political chestnut “there’s more that unites us than divides us” did the trick in its own merits. Anymore, I feel like that same phrase is met with a toddler-esque “Oh, we’ll just see about that!” before someone puts their entire energy into denying that simple truth.
I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed – if I was diphallic, I’d cross those, too!

    1. All we can do is hope for the best! Hopefully, enough are tired of all the hate and decency will prevail! Sometimes, the discouraged get out and encourage others who are discouraged to vote and the outcome is remarkable! Perhaps that will happen! 🙂 Naked hugs!

  2. I so hope that Ms. Harris wins this election. I just read this morning where Trump has pulled ahead in the polls. Hopefully the polls are wrong as I cannot fathom how so many people in this country would support a man like him. He encapsulates the worst in humanity. Obviously my opinion, but I feel it strongly. I voted a couple of weeks ago, blue all the way.

    1. We’re voting on Tuesday. I don’t trust others to preserve the integrity of my ballot! That’s just my distrust of those who attacked the Capitol in that fiasco. It took me almost four hours to subway home whereas even in “rush hour” it usually takes 20 minutes. The polls have been wrong before. Let’s trust people will wake up with clearer minds Tuesday! 😉 Naked hugs!
