Last day of February, 2018.
As we collectively bid farewell to this month, for those of you living in the Northern Hemisphere, I offer to you this consolation: we are also now saying good-bye to the final full month of the Winter of 2017-2018. When the last day of March comes around, we will officially be in the Spring, 2018! Winter will be nothing more than a memory!

This post will stray somewhat from my usual “end-of-the-month” review of the state of this blog and any accomplishments relating to this site, nudity and/or same gender loving (gay) concerns. Instead, it is a posting of a noteworthy event in commemoration of Black History Month here in the USA. I’m sure that some of you reading here may ask yourselves, “why is he writing about Black history month? He’s not Black.” True, I’m not black-skinned. However, my husband is African-American and if I am to respect both him and his heritage, then I need to acknowledge and address issues that not only concern him but us both.

Occasionally, I somehow manage to stumble upon a particular inspiring piece of wisdom that seems appropriate to a particular action or event in my life, either past or present. I realize that I am probably not the best man for being considered “typical,” however, I also know that my own life isn’t all that far removed from humanity as to be deemed anything other than average. Another President’s Day weekend has passed, the last three-day holiday weekend until the Memorial Day holiday in May. This year was no different from the recent one’s here – Aaron (my spouse) and I were invited again to the mansion that is home to a friend of ours who lives in Loudoun County, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. To read last year’s post on this outing, please click here. As we’re in the dregs of winter, our friend uses this three-day weekend as an opportunity to have his same gender loving bare friends over for an aquatic weekend and a brief respite from winter.

Late last year, maybe November, I discovered livingclothesfree, (click to view) a pictorial blog. What initially caught my attention about this site is that almost every post is of the site’s author, Andre Fuller Davenport, doing the most ordinary things while clothes-free. He’s not engaged in some amazing adventure, he’s doing routine activities that any of us do only that he’s proudly and unapologetically nude. There aren’t too many men able to make that boast. Another interesting fact that captured my attention is that he’s a gay nudist, too!

It seems that the news on this year’s flu outbreak isn’t getting better as the season progresses. Although the incidents aren’t proving to be as fatal as once feared, the pesky virus is leaving discomfort and misery with those infected. I know this because I was ill with the flu for most of this winter’s holiday. Trust me on this, it was no picnic! Evidently, I am in excellent company. In the USA, infection numbers are higher than usual.
