Valentine’s Day, 2020

The best and the traditional way to greet someone on this international day of affection, devotion, love and romance is with either a hug or a kiss (or both) and the salutation: “Happy Valentine’s Day!” So the above gif. image extends to everyone reading here a hug and a kiss and the approved salutation is included in this paragraph. Best wishes to all of you (single or otherwise) for this special day!

Aaron, my spouse, and I want all of you to have a moment for your heart to flutter at least once today. No heart crisis or discomfort – just a single flutter that brings to you an occasion of excitement and joy!

There is nothing wrong with any of us being alone on Valentine’s Day. Spending the occasion with ourselves is no reason for disgrace or shame. Many before and after us have survived the day solo. I think that the majority of us realize that there are many worse situations that we could be in.

Many find it depressing being single on Valentine’s Day. However, it is nothing different from any other day of the year. The day devoted to “couples and romance” is not to bring dread or shame upon single persons. Instead, those of us who happen to be outside a committed relationship on Valentine’s Day can enjoy being with platonic friends or take advantage of many options of spending time alone or engaging in single pursuits.

There are many ways to observe holidays. Let’s be honest, Valentine’s Day isn’t a legally observed holiday anywhere in this world! So rather than be depressed, find a way to celebrate life!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Naked hugs!
