Canada Day, 2023!

The British North America Act was enacted on July 1, 1867, and created the Dominion of Canada under Queen Victoria. This enabled the independence of Canada which gradually assumed the provinces and territories that encompass the Canada that exists today.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022, the Prince of Wales was proclaimed King Charles III of Canada by the Chief Herald of All Canada on September 10, 2022, in the presence of Prime Minister Trudeau and the Governor-General.
