One week from today, the Summer of 2017 officially ends and the Autumn season begins. It has been a fun summer for me and I hope the same for those of you reading and visiting ReNude Pride. This weekend presents a unique opportunity for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere as it allows us one more opportunity to get outside and enjoy a final outdoor skinny-dip (naked swim) before the official end of the “Season of Fun in the Sun.” I’m highlighting the words “officially” and “official” in this paragraph and post as experience shows us that it is still possible to have moderating temperatures even after the seasonal transition.
Today and this weekend, for the overwhelming majority of us, will be the last chance for an official Summer, 2017, skinny-dip. Next weekend, we will be in the official Autumn, 2017. Any skinny-dipping then will be a special Autumn bonus and a very pleasant memory! We all know better than to depend on an Autumn bonus. The weather doesn’t always cooperate and life doesn’t stop because we want it to do so.
It doesn’t matter if you’re just wading into the water up to your ankles or plunging in for a full swim, what’s important is to do it the way every dedicated and serious bare practitioner does, completely clothes-free. Savor the feeling of the air and water as they course over your body. Sooner than we’d like, the cold and dreary temperatures will be here and times such as this will be nothing more than a pleasant memory.
So as we go about on our leisure excursions this weekend, keep in mind that for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, unless we are very close to the Equator, we have only a limited number of days to “strip-off our kit” (shed our clothes) and enjoy the ageless custom of skinny-dipping. Aaron and I already have this date marked on our calendar and have plans in place to do the same.
Even if your friends and fellow bare practitioners are busy elsewhere, it’s possible for you to go to a favorite space, get naked and swim on your own. In the interest of safety, make certain that you are familiar with the waters that your visiting and be sure there are others skinny-dipping around you. It is not recommended that anyone goes into unfamiliar water alone, whether clothed or not.
Before this delightful season escapes us completely, make plans now for another skinny-dipping adventure. The transition from Summer temperatures into the Autumn ones wait for none of us. The barren and dreary days of winter are always long and forlorn. It’s best to strip and skinny-dip now while we still have a chance to really enjoy being bare.
I know that in my own life I’ve had many regrets about not taking every chance to enjoy skinny-dipping outside before the season changed. The cold-weather days are long enough as it is without feeling guilt and remorse over a lost opportunity. Do it now and avoid the same nagging feeling.
Naked hugs!

I was lucky enough to get to Gunnison yesterday. I’ll be away next weekend, but with luck the weekend of 10/7&8 will be warm enough for one last visit…

I hope the weather cooperates for your visit there! It can be somewhat “iffy” this time of year! Naked hugs!
