As difficult as it is to believe, we’re now at the end of yet another calendar year and the end of December, 2018. That means it’s time to post a Bottom’s-Up! tribute not only for December but for all of 2018, as well. The man in the image above demonstrates what many of us are feeling this time of the year. Serious fatigue of the past year and the need for a serious rest to face the adventures and challenges as we embark into a new one. This unfortunate soul is unable to muster the energy to finish crossing the stream without taking a brief nap!
If you’re celebrating the incoming New Year, 2019, on a well deserved nakation (naked + vacation = nakation) with the man you love, a balcony photo with the both of you sporting only your bare buttocks is especially appropriate at this time. On the last day of the old year, turn your backs to 2018 and look forward into the unknown, 2019, together!
The man in the above picture reminds all of us of the many benefits of sleeping in the nude. As bare practitioners (naturists/nudists), we know that we sleep better clothes free. But many are not aware that there are studies that document the numerous health advantages to sleeping nude throughout the year.
One study by the University of Rochester, New York, USA, found that when we sleep, our brain removes toxic proteins from its neurons that are a by-product of neural activity while we’re awake. The brain can only adequately do this when we have sufficient quality sleep.
Research from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, found that lowering our skin temperature increases the depth of our sleep and reduces the number of times we awaken during the night. Sleeping naked is an efficient way to lower our skin temperature without having to adjust the actual room temperature.
Aaron, my spouse, and I both can attest to the wonder of embracing one another and allowing our hands to rest on each other’s buttocks. This is a bonding exercise that we often perform together. Simply standing chest-to-chest and following the rhythm of the other’s heartbeat. It is a very calming and relaxing exercise.
And to all of those reading here who live in the Southern Hemisphere, your summertime is now officially upon you. A gentle reminder to get outside and bare your buttocks! Begin the effort now to rid yourself of those tell-tale tan-lines!
If you’re fortunate enough to encounter buttocks up close and personal, treat them reverently and appreciatively!
Naked hugs!
Roger/ReNude Pride
