Spring Is Here!

Yes! Finally! Spring is now officially here in the Northern Hemisphere! The meteorological Spring began back on March but now the astronomical season of Springtime started this past Wednesday evening (yesterday) and today being the first full day. No matter which beginning of the season we follow, it is now undoubtedly with us!

Of course, the change from one season of the year into another doesn’t bring with it an automatic and complete transition from one type of weather. We don’t live in the equatorial region so the transformation in the outdoor temperatures takes a little bit of time. It is much too early to strip off all our clothes and frolic and romp outside just yet. Each and every day that passes brings warmth and sunshine that much closer to us all.

Personally, just honestly knowing that Spring is at last here gives me the patience to tolerate whatever weather – lingering winter – that remains. I can stay calm and endure because mentally I’m aware that the season has finally changed and the thrill of clothes freedom – outside – is almost present. My days of discomfort and misery are almost passed.

The reality is visually reinforced by the appearance of foliage and budding flowers. Every day offers a new reminder that the time of barren landscapes is a slowly dwindling relic of the past. A rejuvenated nature appearing during the Spring season indicates that the only barren aspect left is our skin – which we are all happy to enjoy!

Early Spring isn’t always filled with the joy of being outside and enjoying life as a bare practitioner. Sometimes we have to wait before we have the experience of that sensation. But the wait somehow always fills us with anticipation of what is soon to be arriving to us – the complete fullness of the new season!
