Today is Arbor Day in the USA. Another commemoration that often brings to mind images of a person hugging tree, similar to Earth Day. It is appropriate that the two dates follow so close together during the Spring season. Arbor Day is essentially a school-based celebration for youth to focus on the importance of trees as both a resource for oxygen and as a natural resource that constantly needs replenishing. Many schools sponsor a tree-planting ceremony on this date.

I’m Unbound!

Finally all my discomfort, profanity and overall foul attitude has achieved some sort of result. This past weekend, the weather and the temperatures here on the East Coast of the USA has changed. We went from almost Winter-like conditions to almost Summer weather all within the span of maybe twenty-four hours. I’m just egocentric enough to take full credit for this change in our meteorological circumstance!

As this month rapidly approaches closing, I would be completely an ungracious fool if I allowed this occasion to pass by without publicly thanking the man who enables me to do this, the man that I love and have committed my life to, my spouse, Aaron. Seasonal Mood
As someone who has absolutely no sentimental attachment to the phrase, “Winter Wonderland,” the best way that I can imagine celebrating the Winter Holidays is best described as tropical nudity. For me, the epitome of “merry,” “happy” and “joyful” is to be as bare (naked, nude) as possible under palm trees with the outdoor temperatures hovering or above what others may deem h-o-t! Personally, that would be the perfect time to celebrate what others may determine a “most magical time of the year!”
Body Acceptance
Yesterday, I was reading a blog that I follow titled My Truth, My Clarity. Click the title to view. The site is written by a man named Anthony, whom I’ve never met but I enjoy his excellent writing skills and respect his thoughts and ideas. This particular post he named “Most vs. Least” in which he posted the three things that he most liked about himself and the three things that he least liked about himself. One of his honest revelations made me feel uncomfortable and that, in turn, led me to this post today.
Pre-Halloween: Confusion
Halloween originated as holiday here in the U.S. where children were encouraged to dress in a disguise or a costume, go door-to-door and ask: “Trick or treat?” The concept was for their neighbors to reward then with a treat if they would leave without any sort of trick or prank being exchanged. It must have worked as this custom is now observed around the world and not just here in the USA. However, modern life has caused some modification to this celebration.
Autumn Skinny-Dip
Most of us associate skinny-dipping (nude swimming) with summer fun, which it truly is. However, the first several weeks in Autumn are also conducive to skinny-dipping. It is extremely rare for the season’s to drastically change overnight. For most of us, we live in region’s where there’s usually a transition period of gradually moderating temperatures once the seasonal change occurs. This transitional period varies from region to region as well as from year to year.
