End of Month Reflections, August, 2017

We’re almost to the end of August, the final full month of the Summer, 2017. As for me, I’m left wondering, “where did this season go?” It seems as though we just observed the the beginning of the Summer, and now here it is, entering into the count-down for the last couple of weeks before another season. Autumn, arrives. It doesn’t seem fair that my personal favorite season of the year is the shortest, even though I know that this isn’t the case at all!

This month began in a very upbeat manner. I re-established contact with one of my first blogging buddies, Mardi Reid, of Jamaican descent from the Dominion of Canada. We initially met when we both composed our blogs through a blogging service named Blogspot.com back in January, 2010. At the time, my blog was DQN in Northern Virginia (the DQN for Deaf Queer Nude). Mardi’s blog was entitled The Naked Black Guy. We exchanged emails regularly as well as comments on one another’s sites. What brought us together were our similarities – we are both gay men who enjoy nudity. Below is a photo of Mardi from those days.

Mardi also works as a professional model (obviously) and an actor. Not only is he photogenic, but he’s very friendly, too! We both stopped blogging via the Blogspot service at about the same time and lost contact with each other. At the beginning of this month, I discovered his blog on a different service and now we’ve resumed communication. This month my third blogger-buddy interview was published here on ReNude Pride which showcased Vinnie Harris, author of the blogs Vinnieh  and Buns Are All That You Require. As a caution, his second blog is not appropriate for viewing at work.
