End of Month Reflections: October, 2017

Once again, it is the end of yet another month, October, 2017. For those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, it is the first full month of our Autumn season. The weather is fast becoming cooler outside and the leaves of the trees are beginning to change their colors. From now on, they will die and the trees will once more become barren until our next Spring season arrives.

A Halloween Picnic

This weekend is the weekend before the Halloween celebrations here in the USA. In the accompanying photograph, I’m posing in my 2012 Halloween costume – a mask with a salmon-colored “clip-on” bow-tie – and, obviously wearing nothing but my natural skin. A very comfortable and enjoyable costume for me. The only stress that I recall encountering that year was in trying to put on the tie that clipped-on in the back. Thankfully I had my then-boyfriend, Aaron (who’s now my legal spouse) to help me get the clip fastened.

GLBTQ Bare History Month #4

Today marks the final Wednesday installment of a post commemorating October as GLBTQ Bare History Month here at ReNude Pride. Every Wednesday during October, which is GLBTQ History Month in the USA, we’ve celebrated this time as GLBTQ Bare History Month because there isn’t an entire month for us to experience exploring our common nude or clothes-free heritage. This combination allows us all to honor both our gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community along with our bare (naturist/nudist) community simultaneously.

October’s Bright Blue Weather

When I was a student in primary school, our teacher periodically assigned poems for all of us to commit to memory in order to increase our comprehension of the written English language. As we were all Deaf, this assignment entailed us to not only remember the English words as they were written, but also their equivalent in our manual language: American Sign Language (ASL). For students who were either ten or maybe eleven years old, this was a very intimidating task and was not undertaken lightly.

GLBTQ Bare History Month #3

Today marks the third Wednesday installment of a post series commemorating October as GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer) Bare History Month. Once again, I remind readers that the “b” in GLBTQ represents bisexual and not bare. Every Wednesday during October a post featuring vintage (old) photographs of clothes-free men publishes here as atonement for the fact that there isn’t a Bare History Month celebrated nationally.

Creative Drying

Being a bare practitioner (naturist/nudist) for almost my entire life, I admit that I have seen things that probably would be unbelievable to most of my faint-hearted textile (clothes wearing) acquaintances. Some may even being disgusted with such sights but I have no way of knowing what, exactly, they find disgusting: the nudity or the action. But I imagine it’s safe to think both. Narrow minds don’t tend see beyond their noses in order to pass judgment upon others.

On Being Natural…

All of us, no matter how self-confidant we are, have experienced a moment, or longer, of doubt or indecision. For some unknown reason, our self-assurance leaves us in a void of what do I do now? It makes no difference whether or not we are committed bare practitioners (naturists/nudists) or committed clothing wearers. This questioning of our beliefs, practices or habits, at least in my humble perspective, is a good quality that serves to re-affirm our dedication or leads us into different pursuits.

Autumn Skinny-Dip

Most of us associate skinny-dipping (nude swimming) with summer fun, which it truly is. However, the first several weeks in Autumn are also conducive to skinny-dipping. It is extremely rare for the season’s to drastically change overnight. For most of us, we live in region’s where there’s usually a transition period of gradually moderating temperatures once the seasonal change occurs. This transitional period varies from region to region as well as from year to year.

Bottoms-Up! September, 2017

Today is the last day of September, 2017. The month began with those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere enjoying our Summer and ends with us now beginning Autumn. For those in the Southern Hemisphere, the joys of Spring are now upon you. Have fun in your period of seasons-in-the-sun! Wherever you live, the reason I selected the lead photo for this post (aside from the subject’s buttocks) is the fact that he’s partially in the shade and partially in the sunlight. To me, it reflects the seasonal transition.

End of the Month Reflections: September, 2017

September, 2017, is almost over and another season of sand, sun and surf – Summer, 2017, – has already ended. As I’ve previously written here on ReNude Pride, for me, this has, until recently, always been a sad time of the year. I’ve never been a fan of the cooler and colder temperatures. Even as a child, I was content to stay indoors during Autumn and Winter and preferred not to venture outside until the warmer temperatures had arrived. That’s always been my nature and how I’ve lived my life. It’s only through individual counseling and group therapy that I, at least, understand why I am this way.
