Some may wonder: why is a blog that celebrates same gender loving male (gay) social nudity seriously feature a posting discussing “dressing for success?” Shouldn’t the focus be on stripping for fun and relaxation? My response to those thoughts is that no, I’m not high on any mind-altering substance and that there are countless articles on removing clothing and enjoying life bare but very few on how we bare practitioners (naturists/nudists) don we now our gay apparel (to adopt a more festive seasonal phrase) after our clothes-freedom experiences.

Body Acceptance
Yesterday, I was reading a blog that I follow titled My Truth, My Clarity. Click the title to view. The site is written by a man named Anthony, whom I’ve never met but I enjoy his excellent writing skills and respect his thoughts and ideas. This particular post he named “Most vs. Least” in which he posted the three things that he most liked about himself and the three things that he least liked about himself. One of his honest revelations made me feel uncomfortable and that, in turn, led me to this post today.
A Guy Without Boxers
A Guy Without Boxers was the name of my first blog here on wordpress. The reason for that title is that a man without any underwear (boxers, briefs, bikinis, jock-strap, whatever) was…well, naked, nude, clothes-free. He was completely b-a-r-e. Devoid of any type of covering over his body. The exact type of man that I enjoy being. That should be no surprise to anyone reading here on a regular or even an irregular basis.
Australia: Marriage Equality!
Congratulations to all same gender loving bare practitioners who live Down Under! Yesterday, December 7, (at least on the eastern coast of the USA) the Australian Parliament passed marriage equality! Rejoice! Celebrate! Be happy! Another homophobic tradition is discarded in favor of justice for all!
The Unicycling Illusionist
The gentleman in the above photograph is either trying to be the world’s most convincing illusionist or else the entire image is a photographer’s opportunity that has spun completely out of control. Is the subject attempting to mislead us to assume that he’s steering a bicycle by holding onto handlebars that aren’t physically attached to his unicycle? Is the actual photographer trying to seduce us into believing that the model has lost almost half of his bicycle? Or are we supposed to be so distracted by his complete nudity in a residential neighborhood that we overlook the fact that his handlebars aren’t even attached to his transport?
World AIDS Day, 2017
The World Health Organization has designated December 1, annually, as World AIDS Day. This date is significant as all of us, since 1981, are living in a world that is continually suffering the ravages of HIV/AIDS. Despite massive prevention education strategies launched both globally and locally, we have failed to protect ourselves from infection and the stigma falsely associated with those living with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), the virus that causes AIDS. As a result, we are all living in a world struggling with AIDS.
Bottoms-Up! November, 2017
And here we are again, another end of the month. Farewell to November, 2017. Of all of the 30-day months throughout the year, November always seems – to me, anyway – to be the shortest of all the “shortys.” I’m really not sure why this is so, perhaps the reason is to just get the rest of this year behind us and start a new one.
Dirty Nudity?
Please remember that no one should have ever promised you that being a bare practitioner was a sanitized way of living. Just like everything else in life, there are those times when we all have to “get-down and get dirty.” We landscape nude. We sweat (perspire) when we participate in the World Naked Bike Ride. We build bridges when clothes-free and we help clean beaches and parks of debris and trash wearing nothing more than our skin. Some of us even work while not wearing clothes, as shown in the image below.
Thanksgiving Day, USA
The fourth Thursday of the month of November, annually, is Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. Originally, it was a day to be thankful for a bountiful and successful harvest. Although that remains the rationale for the holiday, in recent years it has become something entirely different and the concept has lost the intended meaning. The religious overtones of the observance have all but disappeared from the national conscious. Given that the day is celebrated nationally and the reality of the diversity of belief systems within this country, that is probably the best.
Bare Travel
Taking the subway is a hassle-free means to get to your destination. There would be even less stress involved if those of us who are bare practitioners (naturists/nudists) could enjoy the convenience of travelling clothes-free as is Daniel Shoneye in the photograph above. I know for a fact that if nudity were allowed, I’d subway all over the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. Alas, that’s probably never going to happen anytime soon but at least I can hope for clothes-freedom somewhere in my future!
