It’s Friday, September 22, 2017. Yesterday was the last full day of the summer season here in the Northern Hemisphere. Those living in the Southern Hemisphere are now welcoming the arrival of their Springtime and heralding in their season of sand, sun and surf. I offer these words of advice to all of you: ” Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!” Have a safe and wonderful time and, if at all possible, bottle up some sunshine and send it our way! Please!

Last Day of Summer, 2017
At sunset today, for those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere, the final full day of the Summer of 2017, will be over. There will be days when we can roam the beaches and trails clothes-free but for the most part, the wait for the colder temperatures outside is the norm until next Spring. Another summer becomes history as many of us sit back and wonder: Where did all the time go?
Nude Is Not Lewd
Often, we see many professional athletes, who are paid enormous and outrageous amounts of money get physical with one another to reward a job-well-done. In both the National Basketball Association (NBA) and in the National Football Association (NFL), countless team-mates give each other a pat or a slap on their buttocks in a congratulatory gesture of goodwill and friendship. Even coaches do the same as a show of support to their players and a way of offering encouragement. No one complains of bodily harm, excessive violence, sexual harassment or indecency.
One Last Skinny-Dip!
One week from today, the Summer of 2017 officially ends and the Autumn season begins. It has been a fun summer for me and I hope the same for those of you reading and visiting ReNude Pride. This weekend presents a unique opportunity for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere as it allows us one more opportunity to get outside and enjoy a final outdoor skinny-dip (naked swim) before the official end of the “Season of Fun in the Sun.” I’m highlighting the words “officially” and “official” in this paragraph and post as experience shows us that it is still possible to have moderating temperatures even after the seasonal transition.
Tell-Tale Sign: Tan-Lines
No matter how hard some men may try, there’s simply no escaping it. If you’ve been wearing your swim-suit all season long, every time you’re at the beach or pool. the first time that you decide to go bare, it’s going to be obvious to all: ‘This is one of the few times that you’ve been nude in your birthday suit this summer.” It just isn’t possible to fool Mother Nature and all your bare brethren.
Labor Day Holiday, USA
Today, September 4, is the annual Labor Day holiday here in the USA. This is the date set aside by the U.S. Congress to honor the endeavors and labors of this country’s workforce and their contributions to the national economy and nation’s well-being. This holiday has no fixed date as it is customarily observed on the first Monday of September every year. It is also one of the few holidays in the USA that isn’t related to either a patriotic or a religious theme. Sort of an everyman’s (or everyperson’s) holiday.
Cooling Off!
Although this may be the first day of September, 2017, the Summer season isn’t over just yet. The season do not officially change until September 22, despite what the meteorologists preach. The early days of this month often can be among the hottest of the year and the humidity doesn’t simply pack-up and disappear because the calendar shows a new month. Like all the other seasons, Summer has a habit of lingering also. It’s too soon to put away the sunscreen and light a fire in your hearth.
End of Month Reflections, August, 2017
We’re almost to the end of August, the final full month of the Summer, 2017. As for me, I’m left wondering, “where did this season go?” It seems as though we just observed the the beginning of the Summer, and now here it is, entering into the count-down for the last couple of weeks before another season. Autumn, arrives. It doesn’t seem fair that my personal favorite season of the year is the shortest, even though I know that this isn’t the case at all!
Beach Playfulness or Denying Truthfulness
One week from today, September 4, is the annual Labor Day holiday here in the U.S. For many meteorologists, this holiday marks the unofficial end of Summer. Many resort hotels and establishment reduce their guest prices as they, too, see this as the end of the major tourist and travel season. However, for those of us who are avid bare practitioners (naturists/nudists), we hold sacred the final day of Summer on September 21. What’s good enough for the calendar is fine for all of us!
An Almost Fulfilled Fantasy?
As a teenager, I was always fascinated and probably borderline obsessed with the exotic men that I met and/or observed around me. As Alex, my identical twin brother, and I had accepted and acknowledged our same gender attraction since our early teen years, I thought nothing out of the ordinary about this fact. I felt it was simply part of my sexual exploration and self-discovery. One culture that I particularly remember having fantasies about were the Polynesians of the South Pacific Ocean. These included the men from Samoa, Tonga, Hawaii, the Marquesas Islands, the Maori (the indigenous peoples of New Zealand), Tahiti, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Tokelau and other islands. The Polynesians are noted for their seafaring skills as well as their intricate body tattoos.
