End of Month Reflections, April, 2017

Having just completed my first season (Winter, 2017) of blogging here on ReNude Pride, I can sincerely write that this past winter was one of my most enjoyable ever. Although I’m still not  a fan of the cold, blustery weather (but I do enjoy being s’naked – naked in the snow) I attribute my pleasure this winter to being the author of ReNude Pride and the relationships that I’ve renewed on returning to this blog-hosting site and the new ones that I’ve made since my return.

Naked or Nude?

At first glance, the two same gender loving (gay) bare practitioners (naturists/nudists) in the photo above appear entirely indifferent to one another. The man on the left (Daniel) epitomizes shame, whether because of his nakedness or because of his sexuality (or both), we’ll never really know. The man on the right (Mike) exudes confidence in himself, his nudity and his sexuality. Right? The body language suggests it but are we sure? Do these attitudes determine if they’re naked or nude?

A Penny for My Thoughts? When Nude Isn’t An Option…

All of us, at some point in our lives, have those moments when we absolutely must wear clothing. Being bare or clothes-free simply isn’t an option. It can be the funeral of a co-worker, going to work or a trip to the dentist. There is simply no escaping the fact that some type of covering is essential for our fulfilling the needs of our everyday lives. Yes, it would be ideal if there was a viable alternative but all too often the rest of society and the world doesn’t cater to our nudecentric needs.

Balancing My New Address Here!

I recently upgraded ReNude Pride from a free website blog to a personal one. This upgrade entitled me to a free web domain name that no longer requires the “WordPress.com” portion of my old address. Hence, my new web domain is now: ReNudePride.com. I am assured by the powers that be that all requests for the old address will automatically be routed to the new address. We’ll see how true that will be.

Incompatible: Modesty and Nudity?

An acquaintance and I had a discussion maybe two months ago and the title question was the subject of our discourse. I’m unsure as to how the topic arose, but he was adamant that “there is no such thing as a modest nudist.” He continued his tirade with the statement that all nudists are closeted exhibitionists so the two cannot be compatible. I work with this individual and he is aware that in my leisure time, I am a bare practitioner (naturist/nudist).

President’s Day Weekend, 2017

Here in the USA, today, Monday, February 20, is the day that we honor all of the presidents of the country, the ones living and those deceased. I guess this month was selected because two of the earliest presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, were born in February. As today is a national holiday, it is also the final three-day weekend of the winter season. For the past eight years, a fellow gay naturist/nudist friend of ours always invites between six to eight same gender loving bare couples to his home (near the Blue Ridge Mountains in rural Virginia) to spend the entire weekend, clothes-free, of course.

S’Naked!

A nudist friend of mine from Massachusetts, USA, wisely informed me that the “proper” term for being bare (naked, nude) in the snow was s’naked. This was back in 2008, before I’d even contemplated anything as absurd and foolish as stripping off my clothes and romping completely carefree and clothes-free in the snow. Although I think of myself as a life-long naturist/nudist, up until that time, being bare and outside in the winter held no appeal to me. I knew that I preferred the heat and humidity and that was it. I had no desire to become a human popsicle!

USA: Super Bowl Sunday

The National Football League’s (NFL) Super Bowl game is played tonight  in Houston, Texas, USA. The Super Bowl is the “World Cup” equivalent of American professional football. Tonight’s contenders for the year-long bragging rights are the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. The game is televised live over various television and cable networks and the featured performer during the half-time festivities is Lady Gaga.

USA: February is Black History Month

Every February in the USA is observed as Black History Month. This month is set-aside for the country to celebrate the many contributions made by African-Americans towards the betterment of this nation, specifically, and  to the improvement of the quality of life for all humanity, in general. It is a time of reflection, contemplation and jubilation. However, it wasn’t always the case.

End Of Month Reflection: January, 2017

So today may not be the real last day of the month, but with only one more day left, I figure it to be close enough. I prefer publishing posts here on Monday and Friday as opposed to any other day of the week, anyway. It suits my professional schedule and my household routine. Plus, if I have anything important to share, I can always insert a bonus post anytime. That’s one of the benefits of authoring ReNude Pride!
