ReNude Pride, 2018

Just as I’ve written here previously, the title of this site, ReNude Pride, is a play on the word, renewed. Just as the Springtime brings with it a renewal of life with the return of foliage on trees and flowers in nature, so to with the Springtime and being bare. In the Spring, for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, we also welcome with open arms a return to outdoor nudity as well as a return to nature and living clothes-free.

Bare With Us!

There is one common trait that is shared among almost all bare practitioners (naturists/nudists), regardless of their gender and their sexual orientation. In fact, it is probably the one thing that is universal to the entire clothes-free world. That is our ideal of encouraging our joy and love of nudity, of clothes-freedom, with as many people as possible. This is especially true when it concerns our closest and dearest of friends. For us, it is blatant neglect if we fail to get them to bare with us! We have so much fun when we’re nude that we want the same for others!

Bottoms-Up! February, 2018

Bottoms-Up!

Last day of February, 2018.

As we collectively bid farewell to this month, for those of you living in the Northern Hemisphere, I offer to you this consolation: we are also now saying good-bye to the final full month of the Winter of 2017-2018. When the last day of March comes around, we will officially be in the Spring, 2018! Winter will be nothing more than a memory!

President’s Day Weekend, 2018

Another President’s Day weekend has passed, the last three-day holiday weekend until the Memorial Day holiday in May. This year was no different from the recent one’s here – Aaron (my spouse) and I were invited again to the mansion that is home to a friend of ours who lives in Loudoun County, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. To read last year’s post on this outing, please click here. As we’re in the dregs of winter, our friend uses this three-day weekend as an opportunity to have his same gender loving bare friends over for an aquatic weekend and a brief respite from winter.

Interview: Andre, LivingClothesFree

Late last year, maybe November, I discovered livingclothesfree, (click to view) a pictorial blog. What initially caught my attention about this site is that almost every post is of the site’s author, Andre Fuller Davenport, doing the most ordinary things while clothes-free. He’s not engaged in some amazing adventure, he’s doing routine activities that any of us do only that he’s proudly and unapologetically nude. There aren’t too many men able to make that boast. Another interesting fact that captured my attention is that he’s a gay nudist, too!

Friday Footnote: 2018 Flu

Author’s Note: Today’s post is an update to an earlier feature published here last month. To view the previous publication, please click here.

It seems that the news on this year’s flu outbreak isn’t getting better as the season progresses. Although the incidents aren’t proving to be as fatal as once feared, the pesky virus is leaving discomfort and misery with those infected. I know this because I was ill with the flu for most of this winter’s holiday. Trust me on this, it was no picnic! Evidently, I am in excellent company. In the USA, infection numbers are higher than usual.

V-Day Photo Project

Valentine’s Day is two days away and for those who are still trying to decide on a way to make that day memorable, here’s another idea that may help. The first Valentine’s Day that Aaron and I were together as a couple (pre-marriage) we commemorated this date by having a couple who are our friends take photographs of us together. We then reciprocated doing the same for them. We discussed this project prior to our shoot and planned eight or nine poses that we believed captured our essence as a partnership.

The Baths

Before anyone goes ballistic, allow me to explain that this post is most definitely not referring to bath-houses but rather the simple practice of taking a leisurely bath, in your own home or his, with the man who you love, or at least are attracted towards. I can also state here that, for the record, I have never visited a gay bath-house and wouldn’t even begin to know how to write about that experience. By the time that I reached adolescence, gay bath-houses had been outlawed in the Commonwealth of Virginia in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Wednesday of this week, February 7, is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day in the USA. It’s the date, conveniently during the USA’s Black History Month observance, to direct people’s attention to the disproportionate impact the HIV/AIDS pandemic has on the African-American community. Americans of African descent constitute 13% of this country’s population yet represent more than 50% of all categories reported in HIV and AIDS related statistics reported to the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This disparity in infection rates remains a disgrace on the American Public Health system and represents negligence by the both elected officials and leaders.
