Bare-Volution: Introduction!

Evolving bare together!

Introduction:

For many of us “experienced” bare practitioners, the evolution from textile (clothed) to our nakedness is as simple as just not wearing any clothing at all! No detailed explanation is necessary, we’re merely clothes free – bare, naked, nude – and that’s it! It doesn’t require an act of parliament to recognize this fact.

Yet there are some among us who need patience, tolerance and understanding in order to evolve from fashionable (clothing) to freedom (nudity). This discrepancy is not by choice. It is simply a matter of personality and uniqueness. It is also the purpose of today’s post entry here for ReNude Pride: Guys Without Boxers!

Hesitant about being seen in nakedness!

The Reality:

The basic, essential and ultimate fact is there exists no determined universal standard agenda/formula/guideline/lesson plan that presents us with a guaranteed solution in resolving the issue of a) personal comfort posing and b) self confidence in our nudity. There are numerous suggestions and countless options but not one absolute perfect equation acceptable for everyone. Our similarities are endless and simultaneously, so are our differences.

Thus, the profusion of options/theories to consider, examine and explore. The choices are unlimited and new proposals appear and older offerings disappear without schedule or warning. This situation sometimes results in confusion especially when the newer ideas directly conflict the older concepts and vice versa.

Selfie pose!

Most persons posing for pictures without clothes or covering generate some consideration or hesitancy. This is natural/ordinary. The wearing of garments is a “learned” (taught) behaviour which is among the most difficult of behaviours to “un-learn.” Even the most experienced bare practitioners concede to a certain nervousness when posing for photos nude. Such is the “variety” of life and our uniqueness as individuals!

The simplest solution is to just pose naked and move forward in life. This is the coping strategy that is applicable to the vast majority. Yet there are some who have lingering anxiety about this problem. Unfortunately, there is no general resolution available.

His briefs on his head!

The Underwear Party:

Aaron, my spouse, has experience coaching (advising, instructing) and coaxing (encouraging) those exploring SGL nakedness in easing into social nudity. One method he endorses is the hosting of an “underwear party” where each participant must wear only one underwear garment. The overwhelming majority employ the customary and very traditional boxers/briefs/thongs scenario.

Underwear Party: the usual audience!

The usual approach conceals/covers the genital region and is worn 99% in the conventional manner. What is not admitted is the fact that about 6 – 8 planners of the activity wear their mandatory single underwear item on their heads – beret style!

His briefs as a hat!

When these planners enter the social gathering as a group, they receive everyone’s attention and laughter! They are immediate social “stars” and soon others are imitating their sense of style. Even those who were anxious and nervous in being completely bare in front of others! They were involved in the atmosphere of frivolity they disregarded or else forgot about their anxiety and joined in the fun! Mission accomplished!

The game of Twister!

The Twister Game:

The simple and popular game “twister” is another favourite activity according to Aaron’s experience in helping others become comfortable with social nudity. The game involves everyone being completely clothes free and then matching the body appendage (hand, foot) with a particular colour. The entanglement of the bare bodies creates the “fun” aspect of the activity.

Each game can accommodate up to four players so a number of games may be needed, depending on the anticipated attendance. The speed of the matching colour and appendage keeps the excitement and fun in focus. Fortunately, this activity can be played both indoors or outside.

Games that encourage participants to compete instead of focusing on their communal (social) nudity are very widely popular with newcomers to the bare practitioner community. The attention is directed into the activity rather than on just everyone being naked together.

More Twister!

As the “newly-nude” – nubies – begin to realize that there are opportunities for being bare that are participant involved instead of everyone just sitting around and staring at a room full of clothes free people. Nakedness is encouraged and endorsed while at the same time it is not the sole reason for the event. There is planned activity/agenda to keep everyone focused and involved.

Juggling!

Having a directed and organised theme enables the anxious and conscientious nubie that the majority of the attention of the bare practitioners will be on the actions of the competitors and participants and not solely on the bodies present. This “distraction” may not remove the concern and inhibitions of everyone but hopefully allow them to relax and begin to get comfortable in socially naked environments.

Aaron believes that any type of activity helps to reduce the nervousness and tensions that those who are newcomers may experience. Available options may include even simpler events such as charades and card games. It doesn’t require expense and extensive planning. Sometimes the familiar and the simple are the best and most enjoyed by all!

Posing Bare: Part 2!

Arm-in-Arm biracial couple posing!

Alternate Title:

Be Bold! Be Brave! Be You!

Introduction:

One of the complaints/excuses/reasons that many offer for not having pictures of their nudity is they lack experience in posing as a bare practitioner! My normal response to that statement is usually a simple question back to them: “What does a bare practitioner do?” A very basic inquiry that is more often than not answered with either a blank stare, a shrug of the shoulders and/or a combination of both!

Sadly, even if I rephrased my initial question into “What do naked people do?” the reaction would probably be identical. Beyond comprehension! Even if I asked this of seasoned bare practitioners, their reply, more often than not, would be consistent: no idea. Clueless! Apparently, the concept and/or the question is just too difficult for people to understand.

A unipod selfie poser!

Unsure of what to do? Take it easy and slow. Make a selfie! If you’re baffled. just strip off (remove) all your clothes – if you’re even wearing any – and pose for a photograph of yourself an no one else. Suggestion: A full frontal pose (like the above picture) is highly recommended. Regardless of one’s naked experience, most men are awkward posing with their penis visible. It’s best to deal with the most difficult task and then move on! So, go ahead and take your selfie now!

There, in one basic action you have met and satisfied the complete alternate title for this post! You were bold in taking off all your clothes, You were brave by posing front-facing and completely nude and you were your natural person by being solo (alone)!

Congratulations! You have now completed your first assignment! Remember this process! Now, if you’re ever asked: “What do naked people do?” you already have an answer. “We take selfies of our nakedness!” You now have proof: a picture of yourself posing bare!

Regrettably, we all know that the creation of one self-image does not qualify us for identity as an experienced model, but it does – at the very least – present us the notion that posing bare isn’t as foreign as it may seem. Maybe this project is a possibility after all!

A seated pose!

Assignment:

Set aside a specific day and time to shoot additional solo selfies of yourself. Try a variety of poses and some need to be full frontal so your penis doesn’t become “camera-shy!” This gives you the idea of how to appear (look) nude while helping to build camera-comfort and camera-confidence.

A kneeling pose!

Repetition! Repetition! Repetition! The more we repeat an action, the easier it becomes. Changing the location of the camera and/or the position you’re using (seated, kneeling, standing) offers a variety of pictures as a resource and it prevents boredom. This enables your harshest critic (yourself) to decide which pose looks/works best and which to discard or erase.

A standing pose showing modesty!

Perform these solo selfie undertakings on a daily or weekly basis, whichever is convenient for you. Keep in mind that you are the judge of what’s acceptable and what is not. No one else needs to know what you’re doing or why you’re doing it! You decide who views the results and/or makes recommendations! Be you! You pose! You make the image! You decide!

Michael Ealy: reading interest!

Share you:

During your convenient “camera-comfort” and “camera-confident” times, rather than let your mind wander aimlessly, carefully consider any subtle messages to include in your pictures (selfies). Some examples are hobbies, special interests, sports, etc. Anything that conveys to a viewer an aspect that you appreciate about or in your life.

In the photo (above), Hollywood actor Michael Ealy nonchalantly poses bare with a pile of books. He’s suggesting his pleasure in reading during his leisure (free) time time as well as his comfort with his nakedness. A replication of this image by you relays the same. If books and/or reading holds no value for you, consider something that does.

Athletics and sports significant? Grab a basketball or a tennis racquet! Swimming? Put on a pair of goggles and pose in imitation of taking a dive into a pool. Creativity has no limits – after all, we are posing bare! It’s common knowledge that all observations are focused on the nudity of the subject and not the objects featured!

Basketball fan!

Subtle messages:

In concluding this second segment of the “Posing Bare” series here on ReNude Pride, please return your attention to the header (first photograph) offered of the two men pictured with full frontal nudity. Both my spouse, Aaron and I are a proud biracial couple. He’s African-Canadian and I’m Greek. This fact is implied in the selection of this particular photo. We’re both bare practitioners, our skin is simply a different colour.

Also, we’re depicted “arm-in-arm;” not holding hands or embracing. As a profoundly Deaf man since birth, I communicate manually (sign language). Therefore, holding hands is just not convenient or practical for me. Aaron accepts, supports and understands this reality. If we’re walking holding hands, how would we communicate with one another?

Remember the adage: “Every picture tells many stories?” More truth than you can ever imagine!

Bare Practitioner’s Day, Sunday, July 14, 2024!

Bare practitioners about to skinny-dip in the ocean!

If the weather cooperates here in the Northern Hemisphere, this weekend has the potential for a very bare extravaganza of aquatic excitement and fun! Of course, we all know that the entire hemisphere will not have the ideal conditions, but hoping for the best sometimes affords positive results! Besides, a little rain during the summer season isn’t all that disastrous! Especially when we’re all body and clothes free anyway!

A rush to skinny-dip!

International Skinny-Dipping Day, Saturday, July 13, 2024:

Skinny-dipping is a phrase originating in American English for swimming naked. The popular justification for that designation is that in the rural southern tradition, the term developed from the custom of “getting into one’s skin and taking a dip into a local body of water.” Up until the massive general recruitment into the armed forces caused by World War II, skinny-dipping was limited primarily to the southern part of the USA. The label didn’t gain widespread use in the vernacular until the war response brought young men together in defence of the country. Once the peace was restored and the military returned home did the term earn expanded comprehension.

The advancement and development of Nude Recreation Week in the 1970’s encouraged the use of that phrase in the promotion of naked swimming as part of the week-long observance of outdoor body and clothes freedom activities. Skinny-dipping was considered an event and a name that would get the general public’s attention and interest into the naturist/nudist experience.

The two sponsoring organizations of Nude Recreation Week, the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) and The Naturist Society (TNS), decided in the early years of the 21st century to alter the focus of the skinny-dipping event into an international competition in an attempt to increase the event’s ranking in the Guinness Book of Records. This strategy was intended to attract even more general interest in both the event and in promoting social nudity. One of the major objections to the additional focus on an international skinny-dipping activity has been that it diminishes the overall theme of Nude Recreation Week.

Skinny-dipping duo!

Skinny-dipping, from the earliest days, was usually always observed in natural bodies of water, such as lakes and oceans. As humanity progressed, pools were made by men for different reasons and both genders adapted to the new situation. The bare swimming experience became popular regardless of where it was located. Aquatic refreshment and relaxation remained an often-sought luxury appreciated by the multitudes! It wasn’t until mid-way through the Victorian era that the creation of swimming suits became a demand.

Bare Practitioner’s Day, July 14, annually!

Losing his cumbersome burden!

Bare Practitioner’s Day evolved here from World Naked Day, World Nudist Day and several other national and/or regional labels. Aaron, my spouse, and I adopted the title here in order to promote the largely misunderstood concept of same gender loving body and clothes freedom. Throughout the world, attention and emphasis is on fashion that must be purchased, little thought is offered to the fashion that is common to us all: our skin! We both believe that as our skin is completely “natural” fashion, it deserves a “special” day for celebration – all throughout the world!

The reality of Nude Recreation Week having no denoted date for happening, Aaron and I both feel that Bare Practitioner’s Day needs a date assigned that doesn’t obscure the occasion and the communities represented. Both the same gender loving and the body and clothes freedom persons have earned their own day of celebration and remembrance!

Proud teen bare practitioners!

There are two specific reasons that we both believe justify having a day for bare practitioner recognition. First and foremost is the fact that across much of the globe, same gender loving persons face discrimination and prejudice simply for being themselves. It may not be as prevalent as it once was, but it continues even today. Having a time for being ourselves enables us, as a community and as a culture, to remind all others that we are here and have earned the freedom to be us!

Secondly, even among the naturist/nudist people, bias and marginalization remains against our kind. Therefore, we reserve the right to help prepare for a better and equal acceptance for those who are just now entering into our lifestyle. History doesn’t need to be repeated forever! Our delight and enjoyment of our nakedness isn’t based solely on our sexuality!

As bare practitioners ourselves, Aaron and I both appreciate and comprehend the importance of promoting the benefits, joy and rewards of the ability to enhance and participate in our lifestyle with others who feel the same! Camaraderie offers us the opportunity to meet and learn from others and to both share and socialize!

Stepping into his bare practitioner identity!

Everyone is encouraged to take full advantage of our seasonal weather and have a fun and productive July weekend! Take care and enjoy being bare!

Naked hugs!
