Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 27, is National HIV Testing Day in the United States. On this date, everyone – no matter their age, gender, race, ethnicity or gender attraction – is encouraged by the U.S. Public Health Service, private health care providers and practitioners and HIV/AIDS service organizations to get tested for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, in order to learn their status. Knowledge is power and knowledge is empowering, especially in regards to our personal health and well-being.

A Mid-Summer Night’s Fantasy
In case you didn’t notice, I borrowed this title from Mr. William Shakespeare. I don’t think he’ll mind too much, as he’s already famous for his original work. That, and the fact that he’s been dead for centuries. Come to think of it, his work is entitled A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream whereas mine is A Mid-Summer Night’s Fantasy. Similar, yes, but also different. So I received my inspiration for this post from the Bard of Avon, instead of borrowing. I feel somewhat better now.
Does Size Matter?
The often asked question – with a myriad of responses, some valid and others plainly based on conjecture and/or myth. Does the size of a man’s flaccid (soft, non-erect) penis really matter? Is it all really that important? In a completely asexual world, the answer is probably no. However, we live in a very sexualized world that is very much attuned towards all things physical. That being the case, then more than likely the question’s reply changes to a very emphatic “yes!” Size definitely becomes a primary factor in determining how a man is perceived in the world and, most importantly, how a man sees himself .
Nature and Photography
Sometimes, we become so obsessed at the presence of insects that we often overlook the magical moments – and the brilliant and tranquil photo-opportunities – they provide. In the image above, the butterfly and the shadow it creates, draw our attention to the man’s bare chest. The beauty of both the individual’s nude skin and the naked butterfly symbolize, at least in my eyes and mind, the harmony of the world of nature and of two different species. It also highlights the total absurdity of clothing.
June Is GLBTQ Nude Pride Month
Although Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (GLBTQ) Month varies from city-to-city, country-to-country, the official designation for Pride Month, in the USA, is June, annually. Ever since the Stonewall Inn riots, which happened on the evening of June 27 – 28, 1969, this month has held a special place in this community’s collective history. That riot at that small, obscure gay bar, located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood in Manhattan, New York City, USA, is recognized across the world as the spark that ignited the long struggle for equal rights for all GLBTQ people, no matter where they live.
USA: Memorial Day
Today, Monday, May 29, 2017, is the Memorial Day holiday in the USA. This is the date, officially observed on the last Monday in May, annually, where all the men and women who sacrificed their lives in the defense of this country are honored and remembered. It is tradition to decorate the graves of the fallen with an American flag that symbolizes a grateful nation saluting all heroes.
Let’s Strip and Skinny-Dip
“Truth is, most of us contain a splashing, giggling, squealing child inside us who knows without thinking that bare skin and water go together as wings go with air, roots with earth and the phoenix with the incendiary sun.” ~ Author Unknown
The term skinny-dipping, used to describe swimming without any type of swimsuit, was first documented in the English language in 1947. The term is most commonly used in the USA. Continue reading Let’s Strip and Skinny-Dip
End of Month Reflections, April, 2017
Having just completed my first season (Winter, 2017) of blogging here on ReNude Pride, I can sincerely write that this past winter was one of my most enjoyable ever. Although I’m still not a fan of the cold, blustery weather (but I do enjoy being s’naked – naked in the snow) I attribute my pleasure this winter to being the author of ReNude Pride and the relationships that I’ve renewed on returning to this blog-hosting site and the new ones that I’ve made since my return.
Naked or Nude?
At first glance, the two same gender loving (gay) bare practitioners (naturists/nudists) in the photo above appear entirely indifferent to one another. The man on the left (Daniel) epitomizes shame, whether because of his nakedness or because of his sexuality (or both), we’ll never really know. The man on the right (Mike) exudes confidence in himself, his nudity and his sexuality. Right? The body language suggests it but are we sure? Do these attitudes determine if they’re naked or nude?
A Penny for My Thoughts? When Nude Isn’t An Option…
All of us, at some point in our lives, have those moments when we absolutely must wear clothing. Being bare or clothes-free simply isn’t an option. It can be the funeral of a co-worker, going to work or a trip to the dentist. There is simply no escaping the fact that some type of covering is essential for our fulfilling the needs of our everyday lives. Yes, it would be ideal if there was a viable alternative but all too often the rest of society and the world doesn’t cater to our nudecentric needs.
