Friday Footnote: Can You?

Footnote!

Preliminary:

It is GLBTQ+ Pride Month, 2025! My professional experience and training is in education which includes challenges and creativity in conveying information and ideas using whatever methods available. This enables me to assess my effectiveness in communication. From this point until you receive your naked hugs in conclusion, everyone proceeds at their own comfort level.

Background:

In reality, today is Sunday, 25 May, 2025. I am composing this for publication on Friday, 13 June, 2025, here on ReNude Pride: Guys Without Boxers! This removes me from having to write an entry for the proverbial “bad luck” (unlucky) day of Friday, the 13th. This also spares each and every one of you from reacting to a post created on that unpopular date!

Can You?

Bare Pride, 2024!

A Photo-Essay Gallery honouring Bare Pride!

Body painting is an amazing and awesome tool to demonstrate the confidence and pride we as bare practitioners have in ourselves and in our bodies! It is also an ideal way to communicate with others the messages we wish to convey. Above, a World Naked Bike Rider has body-painted his same gender love status onto his chest as he boldly travels the streets of London, United Kingdom! He chose the Progress Pride flag design as the visual to share this with others!

The back and buttocks shown here feature a bold streak in the colours of the Rainbow Pride flag with his bare friend! This rainbow pattern was the emblem of the GLBTQ+ culture from 1978-2018.

A clear and concise message that the human body deserves no fear from any of us! In demonstrating his fearlessness, our messenger also shows us his bare pride!

Let’s make our bare practitioner status legal everywhere! A political and social message we can all promote! Modeling his politics, our man above also uses exceptional penmanship!

Heart-shaped hands!

His heart-shaped hands and welcoming smile deliver his message visually along with his bare confident body: he loves his nakedness! As bare practitioners, so do we!

Soliciting!

The message on this body is colourful as well as explicit! He invites all of us to celebrate his nakedness and provide him with a kiss. A very deliberate way to join in the thrill of being clothes free while in good company!

Natural in nature!

The beauty of our natural surroundings enhanced by our very own natural physical being often encourages the experiencing of the happiness of being a bare practitioner!

Tattoos!

The current popularity of tattoos enables people to become creative in having them decorating their bodies. Our example above includes him having “unashamed” tattooed above his pubic hairline. Obviously, his being seen nude is no shameful act for him!

Pride tattoo!

Having the notification of pride tattooed at the base of his neck leaves no doubt in anyone’s mind as to his feelings of his nakedness and his sexuality!

Sound advice for us all!

Words of wisdom from bare practitioners!

Naked hugs!

International Skinny Dip Day!

Conventional swimmer: clothed!

What is essential for a skinny-dip? Obviously, a body of water: man-made (pool; indoor or outdoor) or natural (lake, ocean or river), it makes no difference. The designation of today, July 8, 2023, as the International Skinny-Dip Day by no means makes this date the only day of the entire year that persons may swim naked. Everyone is allowed to swim swim-suit free any day they desire and anywhere they want – illegally or legally. This communication encourages all of those individuals who’ve never before taken the plunge clothes free to do so today in the company of others who enjoy the activity and the experience – especially those of us who are ardent bare practitioners! Try it, you just might like it!

Bolder and stripped!

Most skinny-dippers (nude swimmers) start off wearing a swim-suit. Once comfortable with that challenge – often with the companionship of those more bold and daring – they feel inclined to strip-off their cumbersome clothing and join in the fun of swimming covered in nothing else besides their own skin and a layer of sunscreen. Body freedom and social nudity make an excellent reason to lose this archaic inhibition and false sense of modesty!

Bare and proud!

We’re all born naked. Why not shed the vestiges of deceit and disguise and swim bare without a care in the world? What is there to suffer? Guilt? Shame? Those puritanical “learned behaviours” are hardly worthy of a second thought. Remember, every single one of us had to be taught how to put on clothes. Enjoy it! We’re skinny-dippers, not fashion models!

Bottoms-up without clothing!

Uncertain of your aquatic ability or skills? Relax and have fun! Keep to your level of comfort and proceed accordingly. There’s always someone around who is a better swimmer or who doesn’t swim at all. Be yourself and forget trying to impress others. We’re all in our own skin and we’re all free of designer labels! Those reality facts alone afford us enough reason to joyously skinny-dip all summer long!

Safety Suggestions:

Sunscreen application!

Sunscreen:

My spouse, Aaron and I have one essential household policy: if it occurs outside in either direct or indirect sunlight. always sunscreen! Apply it regularly and wear it with pride! All over all the time! When we’re out in public, we intentionally cover one another and then rub it in! He does me then I do him – or vice-versa! There is no shame in visually reminding others to do the same! Hopefully, if it appears erotic and bromantic, others will do likewise!

Security notice!

Safety in numbers:

It is always best not to swim alone. The water presents too much of a challenge to risk yourself! Especially in natural water that isn’t completely transparent. None of us are guaranteed of what we may or may not encounter there. The only time swimming alone is allowed is inside a man-made indoor or outdoor pool where visibility is total (however, even that isn’t encouraged).

Celebrate and enjoy!

Naked hugs!

Pride Month celebrants with traditional Rainbow flag!

June is the widely accepted month for GLBTQ+ Pride!

Background:

The evening of June 28, 1969, is considered by many of us as the actual “beginning” of the modern equality movement for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer + (GLBTQ+) persons and their inclusion within society. It is the date of the Stonewall Inn Riots (SIR) in New York City, USA. This is the recognized event that launched the ongoing struggle for acceptance, equality and recognition of one of the longest and most oppressed community and cultures of humanity. Despite the more than 50 years since, the fight for acceptance, equality, recognition and survival remains valid for many even today!

Dr. King quote!

The observation of the late Reverend Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., remains a respected and and shared value of the GLBTQ+ communities and cultures.

In honour of the SIR, June is internationally considered as GLBTQ+ Pride Month in dedication to the lives sacrificed for the causes of freedom and justice that multitudes seek.

As ardent bare practitioners (same gender loving naturists/nudists) both my spouse, Aaron, and I observe the month of June, annually, as GLBTQ+ Bare Pride Month. Our reasoning for this endorsement is, hopefully, obvious to all!

*************************

The current Progress rainbow flag of the GBLTQ+ Community and Culture!

A more informative post entry of the SIR event of June 28, 1969, is planned for the actual date of that occasion. I feel that we should all remind ourselves of the situations that initiated the necessity of those riots. One of the many reasons that our community and culture celebrates our pride is to prevent the past from returning ever again!

Our PRIDE is enjoyed by all!

Why should we have a GLBTQ+ Pride Month?

After centuries of condemnation, denial, judgment, oppression and ridicule, the arrival of the 1960’s introduced people – globally – to an ideal of honesty, openness, and the expectation of equality for all. World War II united humanity an a conflict against subjugation and tyranny. Human rights became a concept of universal acceptance rather than a lofty distant dream. Millions had sacrificed and suffered against hate and totalitarianism. Freedom and justice moved from the status of a hopeful goal to the acceptance as a reality of life.

The 1960’s in motion!

Throughout the decade of the 1960’s, African-American, Hispanic-American, Indigenous peoples, women, farm workers and countless others emerged demanding acceptance, freedom and equality. The movement to halt the Vietnam War gained importance and international attention. Same gender loving people became one of the last “degraded” communities to join the exodus for the end of discrimination and restriction.

Creative Pride observance!

It doesn’t matter how we celebrate our pride in our collective membership within our GLBTQ+ community and culture. It is more important that all of us strive and work to enjoy, experience and to feel our confidence and pride in being the person that we truly are!

Vintage image!

Many of us grew in environments that were critical, hateful, and judgmental against our community and culture. We lacked companionship and support – especially during adolescence when it is most needed – and only later realized our full potential. Now is the time for us to collaborate and develop our resources to eliminate this situation from recurrence!

Happy GLBTQ+ Bare Pride Month, 2023!

Unabashed!

A comfortable grin!

Without guilt or shame.

A simple thought on posing as a bare practitioner in today’s chaotic and hectic world. Today’s man, his stage name is Reign, (above) reminds us all of his bold and proud assurance of his nakedness. He has the label “unashamed” tattooed onto his groin area, just above his pubic hairline. Confess your confidence! Be you!

Clothing conceals us. Nudity empowers us!

Bare practitioners do not view the body as an object of shame. We all learned “body shame” from somewhere – it isn’t a natural instinct. Bare practitioners are simply people who realize that we learned wrong. Our society equates skin with sex, sex with sin and sin with evil. Bare practitioners are better able to separate skin from sex. The irony is that by covering only “private” parts that these anatomical parts become the focus of attention thus creating sexual (evil) thoughts. Uncovering those very same parts they lose their mystery and become just another feature of our anatomy.

In wearing a pair of shorts in the above picture, Reign assures us that his message of “unashamed” isn’t misplaced whatsoever should the situation arise where he must wear clothing. The pair of shorts above only heighten our awareness of his unashamed tattoo!

Too often, and for far too long, the “massive multitude of mankind” (humanity) has assigned, associated and equated bare, naked, nude with evil, sex and sin. This rendering against body and clothes freedom caused the condition of “being natural” – without concealment or covering – as synonymous with depraved and disgusting. The result? The endless circle of condemnation and judgment against all bare practitioners for simply being themselves.

Reign, today’s man, through his personal tattoo consciously within full view of his genitalia, reminds us all that confidence and pride in what and who he is is not an aspect of his personality. Whoever disagrees with his advocacy is of no concern or consequence to him. He has no apology or regret for being himself!

The black-white version of the opening image!

On a personal sentiment, although no tattoo on my own body – nor does my spouse, Aaron – we both do have admiration and respect for the subject of the images shared! It took both a bold initiative and courage to have “unashamed” inked just above his pubic hairline. First reason: The location of the “tat” (tattoo). It is only visible when he’s clothes free. Why else pay the cost/expense in having the tattoo artist create it?

Second reason: you now “own” the confidence, my man! Remind us all that you feel no guilt and no shame in being you! You are an example to us all. Third reason: you decided to place the tattoo at an anatomical location on your body that you assuredly knew we would all notice! Wise decision, sir! Your public service is exceptional!

Reign: unashamed selfie!

Today’s model, Reign, in posing for these photographs, understood his subtle message to us all: be you! Do you! His self-acceptance of being a bare practitioner (gentle reminder: bisexual or gay naturist/nudist) and his self-assurance in posing publicly for the distribution of both that ideal, image and message earns not only my admiration but my sincere gratitude and honour. Your effort serves as an inspiration for all of us to strip off our clothes and give an entire world a view of a true bare practitioner! I salute you, my man! You are worthy of the dedication and loyalty of the entire bare practitioner community and culture.

We appreciate you, Reign, our man! We stand in awe of your creativity and foresight!

August Playdays: Skinny-Dipping Pride!

Skinny-dipping with pride #1!

After having focused on the “pride” theme for the entire month of June of this year, I realize that many reading this may ask themselves: What? More pride? Again? First, I’m not apologizing or composing an excuse for repeating the “pride” message. June is, after all, the traditional month, at least in the USA, when gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer + (GLBTQ+) celebrate and honour their confidence and pride about and within their community and culture.

Second, as the author of ReNude Pride, yes, I most definitely am trying to justify using these “rainbow flag” skinny-dipping pictures in conjunction with today’s post entry. I acknowledge feeling neglectful of the skinny-dipping subject in my blogging topics over the past couple of years. Nude swimming and bare culture are synonymous during the month of August, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. Why ignore the topical and visible compatibility?

Skinny-dipping with pride #2!

Aaron, my beloved spouse, differs with me on this subject. He feels that I do not need to validate my selection of images and theme here. This site’s dedication to the bare practitioner community and culture is self-explanatory. His reasoning is based that as this blog’s creator, editor and writer it is my “natural” (both figurative and literal) prerogative. Thus, as devoted as we both are to one another, we have our disagreements of opinions!

The large majority of us – bare practitioners as well as those who wear clothes – fully understand that there are no codes, laws, protocols, regulations or rules that limit our engagement in pride exclusively to the month of June only. Without restriction, we are entitled to act and behave with pride and respect whenever possible. Confidence is not a limited attribute.

Skinny-dipping with pride #3!

Ideally, confidence and pride were instilled in all of us since the moment we were born. However, given the turbulent times in which we live, a growing number of us are not afforded this luxury and opportunity. Whatever the cause or reason, some of us need additional patience and tolerance as we strive to achieve this within our own lives.

Not everyone of us need or require a “rainbow flag” to remind us of our pride in being precisely what and who we are. A gentle reminder from time to time is often all that’s necessary for us to experience happy and productive lives. However, we all need to be reminded of this responsibility we all share. Together, we can make a positive difference in our everyday lives and in our world!

A gentle reminder here, the rainbow flag was replaced by the Progress banner in 2017 as a symbol of our community and culture march towards equality. The Progress version is depicted below.

A personal example of not needing a rainbow or Progress flag to demonstrate one’s self-assurance are Aaron (my spouse) and I strolling along the beach in complete body freedom (bare, naked, nude) and holding hands together. Our bare practitioner (same gender loving and clothes free) status is blatantly visible to everyone around. We are doing this in public, without any embarrassment or shame – confident and proud. No apology, excuse or reasoning necessary!

Sunshine Pride!

The PROGRESS Rainbow Flag!

In the USA, which is where yours truly (myself) resides, the annual celebration of GLBTQ+ and Bare Pride Month occurs during the month of June. The Stonewall Inn Riots – which are attributed as the onset of equal rights struggle – happened on the evening of June 28, 1969. This uprising is credited as triggering the global campaign for the recognition and respect for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer + people everywhere.

The header image (above) depicts the Progress Rainbow flag , the relatively new official banner of the GLBTQ+ community and culture, and this flag represents our diverse inclusion of all of us in our fight for equality, respect and unity. We are, after all, humanity!

The USA is located in the Northern Hemisphere where June commences the season of summer, a sacred occasion for us bare practitioners (GLBTQ+ naturists/nudists) and the theme for this posting here on ReNude Pride!

Royal command!

As bare practitioners, our struggle for acceptance and inclusion within the GLBTQ+ community and culture continues today. We also strive for the same within our clothes freedom (naturist/nudist) community and culture. Bigotry and prejudice, unfortunately. is a “people” trait that isn’t limited to one certain group of humans.

That is the reason that our confidence and pride is of paramount importance to us all. It is our acceptance, acknowledgement and joy in being simply who and what we essentially are with no feelings of guilt or shame!

Bare beach pair #1

Summertime is traditionally the season for “outdoor fun in the sun.” We bare practitioners both embrace, honour and understand this wholesome philosophy. Sunshine is often considered synonymous with the summer season. Why not get outside in order to appreciate and to enjoy what is rightfully ours? After all, summer is only one brief season of the entire year!

During our celebration of GLBTQ+ and Bare Pride Month, 2022, there’s no cause or excuse for us to keep ourselves inside and away from the sun. As bare practitioners, we’ve spent enough time burdened under excessive layers of clothing. Now is the time we are motivated by delight in our freedom of stripping off our baggage and “hanging out” naturally within our community and culture!

“Our pride in our bare practitioner community and culture is a result of our confidence in striving for what is decent and good, for sacrificing for what is fair and just and in believing that we can make a positive difference.” ~ Roger Poladopoulos ~ June 6, 2022

Bare beach pair #2!

Sunbathing “in the buff” (nude) allows us to showcase our nakedness and our confidence in our bodies as well as in ourselves. It conveys the joy and pleasure that we obtain from being natural with nature and in the rays of the sun!

“Our commitment and dedication to the cause of equality is beyond the limits of ethnicity and/or race. All of us are entitled to freedom and justice no matter who we love.” ~ Roger Poladopoulos ~ June 6, 2022

Bare beach pair #3!

“Acceptance and tolerance enables patience, respect and understanding. These ideals reflect our shared hope for a better future for us all!” ~ Roger Poladopoulos ~ June 6, 2022

Important reminders:

Sunscreen protection!

Before the season becomes too advanced, please remember to use sunscreen for skin protection every time you’re in the sun!

Sunglasses!

Safeguard your eyes and vision from the UV radiation in the sun’s rays! Wear sunglasses!

Reflections: End of September, 2019

Once again, another month of this year has almost completely passed by! This year has amazed me due to the excessive speed in which it is disappearing. I can hardly believe that we are now into Autumn – there are many moments where I ask myself, What the hell happened to our summer? For me, it seems as though it was only last week when we were busy welcoming in the new year!
