GLBTQ Bare Basics Briefs!

One of the most unexplored topics of our community history is the growth and development of bare (naked, nude) culture within the modern GLBTQ movement. For far too long, we bare practitioners (naturists or nudists) have been ignored and overlooked by the overwhelming majority of our society. The purpose of this posting here is to offer a brief and minimal accounting of our heritage.

Photo-blog: GLBTQ Bare History Month Friday #3

As those of you who follow ReNude Pride or who visit here regularly already know, I could not allow this observation of GLBTQ Bare History Month pass without posting pictures of one of the most popular naked past-times, skinny-dipping (swimming nude). The man in the above image is bottom’s up in an indoor pool. Judging by his hair style, it is probably the late 1950’s to early 1960’s, before The Beatles became famous.

Photo-blog: GLBTQ Bare History Month Friday #2

Today is the second installment of this series for Fridays during 2019 GLBTQ Bare History Month here on ReNude Pride. As a reminder, every Friday in October will have a post in celebration of  our same and dual (bisexual) gender loving community heritage in honor of our bare practitioners (naturists or nudists). This post’s “heading” photograph shows us a man posing his buttocks at a photographer’s studio in New York City in the year, 1900.

Photo-blog: GLBTQ Bare History Month Friday #1

Welcome to the 2019 Photo-blog: GLBTQ Bare History Month Friday initial posting, the first of this series. There are many opportunities to offer images and scenes of a large number of GLBTQ bare practitioners here on ReNude Pride, so it makes perfect sense to me to devote the month of October to feature images from the recent past to prove to us all that our community has been both alive and thriving for awhile now!

A Workable Solution?

In response to my post this past Monday, Decisions, (click title to view), last night as Aaron and I were in a local restaurant celebrating our fourth wedding anniversary, the subject of the appropriate gravatar (logo or representation) for ReNude Pride became part of our conversation. Normally, my spouse is very tolerable of my ideals and opinions and supportive of any viewpoints that I may share here. However, in this instance, he clarified a point and asked that I share it here.

Surprise Social Nudity!

Social nudity is a term often used to describe a social environment or setting where most, if not all, of the interacting (socializing) persons are voluntarily bare or clothes free. It is not to be confused with a situation where nakedness is mandatory or required whether the gathering or assembly is also mandatory or required. Social nudity is a free choice made by all the participants at the event or gathering.

Bottom’s-Up! End of May, 2019

Bottom’s-Up! posts are how we end every month here at ReNude Pride. We celebrate being bare and clothes freedom, so why not the final day of each and every month of the calendar year? Whether we are able to showcase our buttocks indoors or outdoors, the fact that we can even commemorate both the occasion and our anatomy is reason enough to proudly display ourselves!

Photo-Post: Floral Tributes!

Upon the return of Spring every year, people almost everywhere are fascinated with the amazing reappearance of nature. The barren days of Winter are officially over as the natural abundance of nature starts to grow and to decorate our environment. No matter how many Spring-times we’ve managed to survive, the renewal of our natural world offers most of us hope and happiness. The drab wilderness that we survived is returned to life again!

Vintage Images: Black, Gay and Bare

In commemoration of February being Black History Month here in the USA, a photo-oriented post showing some historical (vintage) images of Black gay bareness from days gone by. These are offered in the spirit of historical celebration and trying to document the tradition of gay, nude Black men in the recent history of African-Americans. Many of these photos date from the mid-20th century and often feature unnamed men whose life story, their personal history, is simply unknown and can only be speculation.

Happy Holidays!

For all those reading ReNude Pride and observing tomorrow as a day of special religious or secular significance, I wish each of you the best for a safe and Happy holidays! If you’re travelling, please be careful. Always keep in mind that the use of alcohol or drugs impairs judgment and affects our ability to drive, among other motor skills. Stay well and stay alive!
