Today, May 27, 2019, in the USA is the Memorial Day holiday. On this day, a movable Monday national holiday, the USA honors all of those who died defending their country. This observance is “movable” as it is celebrated on the last Monday in the month of May, annually. It has been a movable holiday since Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act on June 28, 1968. Prior to that act, it was observed on different days in May in the different states.

Blow Your Trumpet: Bare Thoughts!
My last day of classes (all examinations) was early last week and all final class grades were due earlier this morning. In addition to assigning grades to all of the final examinations for my classes, a colleague of mine had a sibling killed in an automobile accident last week and I volunteered to help coordinate the class scores for two of her classes. This involved me reviewing her notes as well as finalizing grades.
May Contemplation!
This is the time of the year for me that allows me to focus on what changes and/or improvements that I would like to undertake in my life. I make a few New Year’s resolutions every year, but for the most part, any serious resolution – at least, for me – happens during this time period. There are far fewer distractions now than at the beginning of a new year!
Reflections: End of April, 2019
It seems almost impossible but we are now at the end of another month: April, 2019. I’m losing my understanding of just how long a month lasts. In my mind, it feels as though the Spring season has just begun and now, all of a sudden, the entire month of April has transpired. It also means that my school year – and work year – has almost finished.

ReNude Pride is a blog that celebrates and is dedicated to the ideals and principles of non-sexual nudity. There’s nothing wrong with sex, it just isn’t a practice that is basic or essential to the concept, enjoyment and practice of clothes freedom. Bare living is not based upon nor exclusive upon any physical intimate activity. Naked, nude and nudity are not synonymous with any sexual activity. However, this episode from my past does come close to involving me sexually.
Happy Easter!

First Monday: Friday Footnote Free!
Author’s Note: This past winter, I have focused three “Friday Footnote” posts here on the drama surrounding noted and talented gay actor, Justin “Jussie” Smollett, and his legal encounters with the Chicago, Illinois, USA police department. Jussie, for the past five years, has starred in the TV series. “Empire,” which was filmed in Chicago. Below are the latest updates on all those “Friday Footnote” postings.
Reflections: End of March, 2019
My blogging buddy and same gender loving (gay) bare practitioner (naturist or nudist) friend, Timothy, author of the blog, Almost Wild, wrote a post late last month that relates to my reflection here today. Please click onto the title and read his exposition, Tats & Pubes & Nudists. His post fully enhances my reflection theme, topic and personal opinion.
Friday Footnote: Jussie Smollett, Part 2
This year’s continuing live drama from Chicago, Illinois, USA, that concerns and involves the noted Black and same gender loving actor, Justin “Jussie” Smollett, and the Chicago Police Department, has undergone even more development and publicity since my last Friday Footnote posting two weeks ago. To reference the two previous Friday Footnote posts on Jussie Smollett, please click onto Hate and Shame and Friday Footnote: Jussie Smollett. The initial posting carries information regarding the attack on the actor. The second posting contains background material on Jussie Smollett and the current charges.
Friday Footnote: Jussie Smollett
This particular post is based on another Friday Footnote post that was published here last month during Black History Month. Jussie Smollett was featured during that feature and he’s the solo subject of this Footnote article. I personally enjoy the actor for his role on TV and for the excellent job that he does in representing the same gender loving performers who credit not only their race but also their sexuality in popular media.
