Author’s Note: This month, January, 2018, is my first anniversary of blogging here with the title: ReNude Pride. Today’s post is a celebration of this blogging achievement. 

As this month rapidly approaches closing, I would be completely an ungracious fool if I allowed this occasion to pass by without publicly thanking the man who enables me to do this, the man that I love and have committed my life to, my spouse, Aaron. I am grateful for not only his support of my efforts here, but his patiently listening as I share my ideas for this site. I love you, my man!

Reflections: End of Year, 2017

As difficult as it seems, at least for me, to believe, almost a full year has now passed by since I returned to blogging here. In many ways, it doesn’t feel like it has been that long, but the calendar doesn’t lie and next month marks the first anniversary of ReNude Pride. I guess this proves beyond a doubt the old adage: Time flies when you’re having fun.

It has indeed been a “fun” year for me. I enjoy writing, meeting people and exchanging ideas. Being able to do that with others while discussing one of my favorite topics, nudity, only makes it all the more of a pleasure for me. At this time, I add that if anyone reading or visiting here on ReNude Pride has a topic or subject that they would like to see addressed/discussed here, please type the issue in the “comments” function and I’ll be more than happy to try my best to introduce it.

The Unicycling Illusionist

The gentleman in the above photograph is either trying to be the world’s most convincing illusionist or else the entire image is a photographer’s opportunity that has spun completely out of control. Is the subject attempting to mislead us to assume that he’s steering a bicycle by holding onto handlebars that aren’t physically attached to his unicycle? Is the actual photographer trying to seduce us into believing that the model has lost almost half of his bicycle? Or are we supposed to be so distracted by his complete nudity in a residential neighborhood that we overlook the fact that his handlebars aren’t even attached to his transport?

Being Politically Correct (NSFW)

Political correctness is an euphemism for being inclusive and polite, something the current leadership in the USA is totally unfamiliar with and a stranger to the ideal. I had promised myself that I would strive to remain aloof from politics on this site for the next four years (hopefully). Obviously, I have failed miserably in that endeavor.

End of Month Reflections: October, 2017

Once again, it is the end of yet another month, October, 2017. For those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere, it is the first full month of our Autumn season. The weather is fast becoming cooler outside and the leaves of the trees are beginning to change their colors. From now on, they will die and the trees will once more become barren until our next Spring season arrives.

October’s Bright Blue Weather

When I was a student in primary school, our teacher periodically assigned poems for all of us to commit to memory in order to increase our comprehension of the written English language. As we were all Deaf, this assignment entailed us to not only remember the English words as they were written, but also their equivalent in our manual language: American Sign Language (ASL). For students who were either ten or maybe eleven years old, this was a very intimidating task and was not undertaken lightly.

End of the Month Reflections: September, 2017

September, 2017, is almost over and another season of sand, sun and surf – Summer, 2017, – has already ended. As I’ve previously written here on ReNude Pride, for me, this has, until recently, always been a sad time of the year. I’ve never been a fan of the cooler and colder temperatures. Even as a child, I was content to stay indoors during Autumn and Winter and preferred not to venture outside until the warmer temperatures had arrived. That’s always been my nature and how I’ve lived my life. It’s only through individual counseling and group therapy that I, at least, understand why I am this way.

USA: Patriot Day

In the USA, today is Patriot’s Day, a time when we pause and reflect on the many thousands of lives lost and the tens of thousands of lives impacted by the terrorist attacks from the air on The Pentagon and the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Although not an official holiday (governments, banks and businesses remain open), it is a time for everyone to dedicate a moment out of the day and remember those who were killed and injured doing the most ordinary task and routine: living.

To be honest, I didn’t watch the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer on the television nor was I a guest for the service in St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. I was too busy with my undergraduate pursuits at university to be bothered with such frivolity and had only a passing interest (if even that much) in the doings of the British Royal Family. They had no impact on my bare life nor my educational goals at that time.

End of Month Reflections: July, 2017

In the photo above, as the clouds gather on the horizon, our nude dude on the beach thoughtfully gazes out towards the shoreline, unconcerned over the approaching storm. He’s content to remain where he is and as he is: bare. He’s focused on his thinking and is oblivious to worrying about something as unimportant as the weather. Why waste the energy fretting over a situation (weather) which not one of us can control? He has more important matters to contemplate.
