Friday Footnote: Summer’s Over

It’s Friday, September 22, 2017. Yesterday was the last full day of the summer season here in the Northern Hemisphere. Those living in the Southern Hemisphere are now welcoming the arrival of their Springtime and heralding in their season of sand, sun and surf. I offer these words of advice to all of you: ” Peace! Get naked. Enjoy!” Have a safe and wonderful time and, if at all possible, bottle up some sunshine and send it our way! Please!

Last Day of Summer, 2017

At sunset today, for those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere, the final full day of the Summer of 2017, will be over. There will be days when we can roam the beaches and trails clothes-free but for the most part, the wait for the colder temperatures outside is the norm until next Spring. Another summer becomes history as many of us sit back and wonder: Where did all the time go?

Tell-Tale Sign: Tan-Lines

No matter how hard some men may try, there’s simply no escaping it. If you’ve been wearing your swim-suit all season long, every time you’re at the beach or pool. the first time that you decide to go bare, it’s going to be obvious to all: ‘This is one of the few times that you’ve been nude in your birthday suit this summer.” It just isn’t possible to fool Mother Nature and all your bare brethren.

Labor Day Holiday, USA

Today, September 4, is the annual Labor Day holiday here in the USA. This is the date set aside by the U.S. Congress to honor the endeavors and labors of this country’s workforce and their contributions to the national economy and nation’s well-being. This holiday has no fixed date as it is customarily observed on the first Monday of September every year. It is also one of the few holidays in the USA that isn’t related to either a patriotic or a religious theme. Sort of an everyman’s (or everyperson’s) holiday.

Cooling Off!

Although this may be the first day of September, 2017, the Summer season isn’t over just yet. The season do not officially change until September 22, despite what the meteorologists preach. The early days of this month often can be among the hottest of the year and the humidity doesn’t simply pack-up and disappear because the calendar shows a new month. Like all the other seasons, Summer has a habit of lingering also. It’s too soon to put away the sunscreen and light a fire in your hearth.

Bottoms-Up! August, 2017

Author’s Note: This post usually publishes on the last day of the month. Due to tomorrow being the twentieth anniversary of the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales, I am posting this today in order to remember the late Princess Diana.

This is the very next-to-the-last day of August, 2017. Summer is almost over – which to me is unbelievable. This means that this is the final Bottom’s-Up! post for the Summer, 2017. The next one will publish on September 30, 2017 – in the Autumn season.

So bare your buttocks and  show off your pride! Summer is rapidly disappearing into the past! Before that happens, let the world admire your beautiful buns (buttocks)!

Nudescapes: A Collection #2

As my initial nudescapes (nude + landscape = nudescape) post last month seemed to be very popular and enjoyed by many, I’ve decided to repeat the theme again this month offering a different collection of photographs and text. In fact, I plan to make it a regular feature here on ReNude Pride but only during the summer months. There simply aren’t enough landscapes that are aesthetically pleasing to me for me to provide the series throughout the entire year. So, sit back and enjoy the view. In case you missed the prior post, click the following title to read: Nudescapes: A Collection.

Silly Summer: Dancing Nude Dudes

A rainbow signifies our pride in ourselves and our same gender loving (gay) and bare communities. The sun and flowers represent our appreciation for the delights that this season offers to us all. Now that we are officially into a full thirty days of Summer, 2017, (remember, the new season began on June 21) I thought it best to mark this auspicious occasion with a little touch of summertime silliness – to lighten our moods, lift our spirits and celebrate the joyful days of sunshine, surf, heat and humidity!

First Day Of Spring, 2017

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, today is officially the first day of the Spring of 2017! We managed to somehow survive another barren winter and are eager to begin the season of renewal and rebirth! Most of us are savvy enough to realize that just because today is the beginning of the new season, it doesn’t mean that it’s even remotely possible for all of us to strip off our winter clothing and go prancing about in bare abandon.

The Daffodils

In elementary school, we were required to memorize poetry in English then stand up in front of our class and recite the poem using American Sign Language (ASL). The purpose of this exercise was to teach us, as Deaf students, the ability to translate from English into ASL and to learn the essentials of English. This poem,  The Daffodils, was one of those poems and I remember well the difficulties that I had committing it to memory.
