Southern Hemisphere Bare Salute!

As we in the Northern Hemisphere begrudgingly prepare to weather the horrors of the 2018 – 2019 Winter, I feel it is only fitting to par homage and tribute to all of our bare counterparts in the Southern Hemisphere as they joyfully prepare to frolic into their well deserved Summer-time. After all, they have been patient with me as I gloat over our past two summers – I should at least recognize their patience and tolerance and offer them their due. After all, fair is only fair when it works both ways!

World AIDS Day, 2018

World AIDS Day turns 30 years old today. The very first global commemoration to raise awareness of the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), the virus that causes AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) was observed on December 1, 1988 – seven years into the struggle against HIV/AIDS. Normally, this type of anniversary would be a cause of celebration. However, the fact that humanity still suffers from this disease is no reason for jubilation. Yes, we have had a few remarkable successes in fighting this pandemic; but the fact remains that we continue to lose both lives and talent.

Bottoms-Up! End of November, 2018

No matter what meal it is, it’s always enjoyable when accompanied by exceptional scenery. Whatever he may be searching for in his refrigerator, he would do well to lose those boots he’s wearing. All natural is the only way to go these days, buddy! That’s what we tried to do during the month of November, 2018. Now that we’re practically through the entire short month, I’ll acknowledge that whatever is chilled in the ice-box, if it is Bottoms-Up! that you seek, from now until Springtime, look inside!

Reflections: End of November, 2018

November, 2018, was most definitely not the month I expected it to be. As those of you who read ReNude Pride regularly already know, my father died on November 11. This event happened unexpectedly following his diagnosis of stage 4 cancer of the colon, liver and one kidney on October 28. Mercifully, it wasn’t a protracted end but was swift and relatively pain-free. Which does beg the question: “How the hell do the doctors or any of us really know how painless any death truly is?”

Interview: Brent Pace

Over a month ago, I posted a reference and link to a post written by a blogging buddy that I follow. Immediately after I punched the “schedule” button on my computer screen, it occurred to me that I should invite my online friend to interview here. The project has now come to fruition and I’m pleased to introduce readers here to Brent Pace, (nickname: “Pacey”) the author of Pace Of Mind blog (click the link to view). To read the referenced post detailing his presence at a bare dance party, click here.

Bare Proud and Ambiguous!

Those of us who are bare practitioners (naturists or nudists) have enough common sense to know that it isn’t possible to be clothes-free outdoors all year long. Even those who live along the Equator, where the air temperatures rarely fluctuate, have to contend with other factors such as precipitation and wind. Both indoors and outside, our human bodies are able to offer each of us a reason to be confident in who and what we are, bare members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community (GLBTQ)!

Bottoms-Up! October, 2018

I realize that the photograph above may be somewhat late in the season for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere where the summer is already an item of our past. However belated, this image caught my attention and I wanted to put it to use here. Autumn now invades our lives and soon scenes such as this will only remain as a fond memory of 2018. Most outdoor pools have already closed for this year. For those living in the Southern Hemisphere, please anticipate the summer before it arrives there!

Halloween Prelude #2: Bare Body Canvas

Our skin covers and protects our bodies. Few people realize that it serves another equally important purpose – that of a living canvas for our noble expressions of creative art. Since the beginning of time, humanity have used our bodies as a natural inspiration for both design and interpretation. We decorate it to share our own messages and stories, both fact and fiction. We use it to caution and warn, to amuse and to frighten or to beautify for the admiration of others

Friday #4: Bare GLBTQ History Month

Today is the final feature in this series, GLBTQ Bare History Month, a part of the celebration of October as GLBTQ History Month here on ReNude Pride. As promised in the first installment of this series, this week’s theme is Skinny-Dipping (swimming naked). There are just some things in life that always withstand the tests of both time and generations and skinny-dipping apparently is one of those activities. Skinny-Dipping or nude swimming or natural swimming is one of those bare activities that is enjoyed and practiced all around the world.

Friday #3: Bare GLBTQ History Month

This is the third installation published on ReNude Pride in honor of October as GLBTQ History Month not only in the USA but also in Australia and Canada. The theme for this week’s featured series is Gay Photographer, Gay Models. This post offers a departure from the earlier postings in this series as both the photographer and his subjects were gay at a time when simply acknowledging being same gender loving was illegal throughout the world. The were no “safe havens” from the law or prosecution.
