As my initial nudescapes (nude + landscape = nudescape) post last month seemed to be very popular and enjoyed by many, I’ve decided to repeat the theme again this month offering a different collection of photographs and text. In fact, I plan to make it a regular feature here on ReNude Pride but only during the summer months. There simply aren’t enough landscapes that are aesthetically pleasing to me for me to provide the series throughout the entire year. So, sit back and enjoy the view. Silly Summer: Living Pillows
When I initially published a “Silly Summer” post last month, it was a one-time only deal. Since then, I’ve discovered some photographs that I really liked and so I’m sharing yet another “Silly Summer” post this month, as well. Upon reflection, I’ve become comfortable with both the title and theme and it may be a regular seasonal feature here on ReNude Pride. After all, if we can’t be both bare and silly during the Summer, then why do we even have to season at all?
Diving Into August, 2017
Or Taking The Plunge And Diving Into The Last Full Month of Summer, 2017!
The alternate title here reflects the urgency of this post. Believe it or not, for we who live in the Northern Hemisphere, this is the final complete month of Summer, 2017 (the Autumn Equinox is September 22). Unfortunately for us, the transition is fast approaching. Those residing in the Southern Hemisphere are perhaps eagerly anticipating the change as it brings to them opportunities that we enjoyed a few months ago.
Nudescapes: A Collection
Nudescape is a word that I use to describe a perfect vista (view). Of course, in my own prejudiced perspective, no “nudescape” is perfect unless it also contains the view of a naked/nude man. Actually, “nudescape” is a combination word, nude + landscape = nudescape. In other words, a nude view of a nude with a view. It just doesn’t get any better than the picture above. No clothing whatsoever and idyllic, if not perfect, surroundings.
A Mid-Summer Night’s Fantasy
In case you didn’t notice, I borrowed this title from Mr. William Shakespeare. I don’t think he’ll mind too much, as he’s already famous for his original work. That, and the fact that he’s been dead for centuries. Come to think of it, his work is entitled A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream whereas mine is A Mid-Summer Night’s Fantasy. Similar, yes, but also different. So I received my inspiration for this post from the Bard of Avon, instead of borrowing. I feel somewhat better now.
Nature and Photography
Sometimes, we become so obsessed at the presence of insects that we often overlook the magical moments – and the brilliant and tranquil photo-opportunities – they provide. In the image above, the butterfly and the shadow it creates, draw our attention to the man’s bare chest. The beauty of both the individual’s nude skin and the naked butterfly symbolize, at least in my eyes and mind, the harmony of the world of nature and of two different species. It also highlights the total absurdity of clothing.
Before You Bare, Cover Up!
Before I’m inundated with comments and complaints from anyone reading this, please allow me to explain the reason for the title. I am absolutely and emphatically not recommending the wearing of a swimsuit or any other type of garment (unless you legally must). What I am encouraging everyone to do is to make sure that you cover yourself completely in sunscreen before you venture outside in the sun. No matter where you live: the Arctic Circle or Asia, Australia or Africa, Europe or North and South America. Protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, regardless of location, gender or race.
World Naked Gardening Day
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 6, 2017, is the 13th observance of World Naked Gardening Day. It was first celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2005. It’s a time where all are encouraged to get outside, tidy our lawns and gardens and, of course, to do it while we’re all completely clothes-free! The purpose of World Naked Gardening Day is to promote the health benefits of nudity and to foster the harmony between nakedness and nature. On the event’s website, gardening nude is listed as the second favorite activity – behind swimming – that people like to do while naked.
Arbor Day in the USA
Today, April 28, is Arbor Day here in the USA. It is the day when we again focus on our environment and nature and everyone is encouraged to plant a tree in order to replenish our natural resources. In many primary schools, a special ceremony is held and a sapling (an immature or “baby” tree) is planted and the students are told to “watch” it grow and are educated on tree-care. The U.S. Forest Service and/or individual state forestry agencies sometimes provide trees for the students to take home and plant in their yards.
Happy Earth Day, 2017!
In anticipation of tomorrow, April 22, officially being Earth Day, 2017, I’m sharing some perspectives on environmental stewardship today. Most of us realize that preserving what we have left of our planet is much more than just a one day activity. Conservation should take place on a daily basis in all of our lives so that the wonders of nature that we now appreciate in our lives will be here for future generations to enjoy in their lives.
